Fourrier's 2002 Aux Echezeaux is singing tonight at with a perfumed nose of wild red berry, violet, game, and sous bois. Totally electric on the palate with everything in fine balance, vibrant acidity, little sense of weight. No rush but at peak.

Typical Fourrier with that relative lightness and still enough aromatic depth. Small criticism though is that in the last few years, the tannin management has improved quite significantly. Notes of spices, flowers, still some oak, white pepper, crushed violets, some red and dark fruit. It‘s medium+ bodied, with very good depth, has medium-high acidity providing freshness and some medium+ tannin that is surprisingly drying though. Good length. I really liked this. (93+)

Medium ruby. Nose of tart red strawberry and raspberry. Background notes of nutmeg and damp earth. On the palate it was medium high in acidity, with some noticeable astringency, and a tart fruit finish. A bit thin on the mid-palate.

light velvet colour. Small red fruit, earth, spice on nose. Good fruit/acid/tannin balance. Lovely from front to back. Good village burg
