Finally, it only took 14 years in the bottle and an hour or so of open time for this wine to meet my expectations. Surprisingly Bordeaux like in its weight not thin but clearly a single varietal. Best bottle to date, 2 to go....

Killer nose, ripe currant, straight-forward cabernet fruit, sweet tobacco. On the palate this is classic California cabernet with soft edges, good complexity and relaxed but present structure. We tasted this wine next to an '05 Quilceda Creek and that made me realize why I liked this wine so much in the past, this wine is very well balanced, not overly intense and provides you a long time to revel in the experience without blasting you with alcohol or structure. This is really good, classic-ly styled cabernet. Super delicious. I wish I had more.
Showed a bit better than the last bottle. I need to force myself and wait 3 to 5 years for the next one. Something tells that its best years are much further down the road.

What great wine. More of a traditional Cab, not a fruit bomb, but big in complexity. fantastic finish. Looking forward to see how this cellars. I will wait, if I can, 2 years to see how this goes. Wine is certainly drinkable and enjoyable now.

Napa Valley, July 2009; 7/9/2009-7/11/2009 (Napa Valley, CA): Bright blackberry scents coupled with rhubarb tantalize the nose while smartly backed with just the right amount of vanilla from the oak. The fruit on this is just lovely! The cherry flavors are deep and dark, and the tannins are on the lighter side already. This wine has great cab flavor with a gentle touch and delicacy throughout the palate. Wow! I know it's not cheap, but if you're on the fence about this, you're cheating yourself if you don't try it.

My first trip to Napa, Ca.; 7/9/2009-7/11/2009: Wow, this was a great cabernet. Rich but light weight, great fruit with some beautiful chocolate or cocoa notes hitting in the mid-palate. Surprisingly complex transitions in the mid-palate with flavors that escaped me at the time. The most feminine feeling bottle of cabernet I had the entire trip. Balanced flavors, seamless in every way, exacted a 'wow' from me every taste. Expensive but I couldn't leave without a bottle as it will be interesting to see where this goes in 5+ years. 93+

Beautiful - drank sxs with 2005 Clone 6. This had less tannins but more fruit than the Clone 6. Delicious both with appetizers and ribeye.

Outstanding with three hour decant. Took second place among 8 really nice new and old world wines.

Great Nose but it was all down hill after that. Never lived up to its potential. TCA spoiled years of patience. Hoping the last bottle is better.

Nice! Drinks well. Not sure how much it will improve if at all. Could round out a bit but great fruit and a solidcab now.

It was a thing of beauty!!! Dark cherry color, deep rich fruits with balanced alcohol. This is a big wine for a big meal.

A very subtle cabernet. Opened about 30 mins before drinking. first glass was good, but by the second glass it really came together.

Deep purple wine, cassis, tobacco on the palate. What California cabs used to be. Excellent wine. Could have decanted and hour.

Nose of grass and flowers. On the palate there are plums, cherries and anise with some earthy notes. Finish is short.
