Pleasant nose of dusty black cherry and dark chocolate with a touch of floral notes and menthol. Explosive palate that kept on improving throughout the night. Lots of bright juicy fruit, especially cherry and blackberry, and so much rich chocolate and espresso, all perfectly balanced, with only a mild hint of alcohol taste emerging on the finish.

Blind tasted. Unanimity on blend (not percentages), provenance and vintage. Great powerful nose, hard to pick-up on the fruit beyond the oak but you can feel it there. Red fruit, vanilla, some caramel, tobacco. Quite explosive on the palate. Bright juicy fruit and big structure, with a nice bite of acidity at the end to lift- very fresh. Complex and balanced with good length. Will probably improve over the next five years. Decent value at 33CDN. Would have scored this higher had the oak been a little more subtle.

Intéressant car on ne sait pas les cépages qui composent ce vin. On le dit typé Bordeaux. Il est vrai qu'au nez on croit reconnaitre le cabernet qui se développe. Cependant une acidité compose le vin. On pourrait croire à un mélage avec le pinot noir apportant un goût de framboise. Après plus d'une heure en carafe le vin s'est développé avec des notes de petits fruits.
