Served blind. I got that it was Napa but mostly because of the person who served it and figured it might be Pinot since it was a bit lighter in nature. Would not have expected 1970 though nor picked Mondavi. I will say the wine is well made and more in an old world style (if I didn't know the person bringing it, not sure I would have picked Napa). Fruit still there. Pours a brickish color and you can tell there is age, but surprising how fresh it is for a wine that is just a few years from 50.
