rather complex nose - very dark fruit, dark chocolate, black licorice, numerous other smells, all good and complimentary. not a massive tannin, enough to feel. long dry finish, as the label noted - it's dusty. ready to drink. per my wife "it's nice." this is a tremendous filet/prime rib wine.

Popped and poured and noted it was very tight. Light nose with just hinys of berry, leather and smoke. After decanting for40 minutes it opened very nicely! The nose was full with much stronger cherry and some chocolate and more hints of that earthy leather. Pared with a steak and new baby red potatoes and what a combo! Glad I have one more. I really enjoy the Rutherford Cabs.

Consistent with previous notes... Drinking very well right now. Pared with NY steak and horseraddish mashed potato's and what a paring it was. Very full nose with fruit and slight smoke. Silky smooth with a soft but long finish.

Nice nose, though a little light at first. This wine was smooth with an earthy taste combined with light fruits and a hint of smoke. As the glass sat the nose became more pronounced and intense. This went very well with Italian food but will try another bottle with a NY Strip. I was able to purchase 4 more bottles and I am glad I did.

Very structured, tannins still firm, a tad bit heady too. Leather, spice notes, cedar. This juice still drinks big.

Great wine. Smooth dark fruit is still in the forefront on this, with a touch of toasty oak.

Still drinking well; nose of smoke and tobacco; full body with smooth tannins; starting to exhibit some secondary flavors; long finish.

Beautiful cassis fruit and shadings of bottle bouquet and minerals. Rich without being overblown.
