Given 15 mins or so to breathe. Underbrush, tea, rose, tobacco, cocoa, mint, cola, and a touch of raspberry. Light to medium bodied and silky, and while the tannins have softened - there’s still structure and concentration. Dried fruit, tobacco, tea, and mushroom dominate. Still shining.

Very enjoyable and elegant Pinot. Varietally correct. Nice strawberry and cherry fruit flavors with good acid balance. Really nice silky mouth feel and concentration. Long finish.

A lot of nice flavors going on. Can't say that it is clearly Pinot Noir--fruit seemed very sweet and I would have liked to see more focus and grip. That said, it is definitely a wine I would share with dinner or drop-in guests and be pleased with their enjoyment at this price point.

This is a very interesting bottle. The nose is beautiful with lots of fruit and the palate starts out with great cherry notes but finishes with earth and grass more typical of an Oregon Pinot. Very nice bottle that could easily lay down for several more years.

Pale cranberry/garnet red, with light bricking. Nose is alcohol, rich black fruit. Palate is some molasses, caramel, savory, quite complex. Medium finish, with a bit of heat. A bit lacking in fruit, but also has the complexity, layering, and dark notes to make it interesting.

I thought this wine was basic, and perhaps a little rough around the edges. Younger fruit notes, but instead of bright the wine seemed harsh. Perhaps just not my taste.

Consistent with previous bottles -- namely, a dominant effervescent character that just cannot be overlooked on its first night. If you can uncork / decant for 10+ hours - or ideally a day - you will be rewarded with a stellar Stoller QPR. [Don’t h8 on the alliter8.]

I don't why but I wasn't expecting much from this wine. Now I'm glad to discover that I have 4 more bottles left! This medium bodied beauty is one to sneak into a tasting with a few of the "07s have no fruit" crowd in attendance. Really balanced and lovely expression of Pinot.

A day in the valley (Dundee Hills, OR): nose: very perfumed and lovely nose filled with tones of berries, dark red cherries, spice tones and bits of violets
taste: pretty and suave medium/full feel with medium+ acidity along with balanced tones of berries, dark red cherries, spice tones and bits of dark red fruits as well
overall: this also possessed a pretty dark ruby color. Well balanced and showing some expected youth, this feels like another 2-3 would do a great job

This was one of the more deeply fruited '07 OR pinots I've had. Dark red fruits such as cherry and strawberry were present on the nose and palate along with the wonderful earthy character that shows prominently in the vintage, such as smoky leaves and tree bark. Warm brown baking spices added another dimension. Lovely wine.

Drinking nicely. Bright light red color. Not much of a nose. Nice acidity and a bit of sourness that makes this better with food. Tasty for the price. Good.

Dundee Hills Passport Tour (Dundee Hills, Oregon): Oak rolls out on the nose and the whole package has a dark character. The oak delivers chocolate scents, and full, dark cherries accompany it. The dark cherries show quite well on the palate, and they deliver a smooth character that I'm quite fond of. The acidity is full, and of good quality, which is a compliment I don't deliver lightly. Some light earth shows, as does some faint raspberry flavors in the background. The wine has a pleasant and friendly character to it, and I think it would be approachable to a good range of drinkers. 89-

Light in color but full of flavor. Nice nose with earth, strawberries and slightly sweet spice. Nice long finish. Only place I find it lacking is (like a lot of OR Pinot Noir) on the mid-palate where it's a little flat. Nice wine though. I like it.
The nose of the Stoller SV pulled you in as the fruit turned darker shades of red, with ripe bursting strawberry and crushed raspberry, candle wax, earthy minerals and wisps of citrus. It was like velvet on the palate and balanced to the last moment. Flavors of ripe berries, earth and hints of wood washed across the tongue, yet made their presence known as fresh acidity and a hint of tannin led to a long enjoyably fresh finish.

Solid and classy. Dark strawberry, some meat, mineral and charcoal. Well balanced. Round, but still grabs the palate. Later developed some tea, espresso and spice notes. Really improved well in the glass.

I opened this the night before the tasting and so glad I introduced some air to it. Up front, it wasn't stellar. Given about 24 hours after opening and the vacuuming most of the air out, gave it just a kiss of air. This opened it up. The nose is now filled with bright red berry fruit. Some minerality and hints of spice. Not super fragrant, it takes work to get into. The palate is lead by a copper/metallic taste which takes away from any of the red fruit tones. It has big acid such that it's a tad tart and overpowering. Unfortunately, for me, there are some items that detract from my enjoyment of this pinot. Not for me. Finishes bitter.

Popped and poured. Pretty, sweet cherry aromas are obvious upon opening. Not a lot of spice or oak, just plenty of fruit. The initial taste was underwhelming and even a bit watery, but after 20 minutes of air at room temperature, the wine displayed a simple, delicate palate of cherries and purple fruit. The wine went from tasting like almost nothing to now being a bit on the sweet side. Short, muted finish.
No complexity here and somewhat uninspiring, but a pleasant enough at $20. Purchased as a mystery wine from Garagiste.

Don't let first impressions cloud your decisions about this wine. Give it 2 hours to open up and it's a good example of Oregon Pinot. A bit spicy with fruity undertones and a bright finish - I'd say it's not quite at its peak - but very delightful and ready to enjoy.

Just a few months really show an improvement, much more balanced and round. Classic Dundee fruit, extremely well-made and attractive, with medium-density in glass and palate, showing bing cherry, sllight strawberry and cola notes, a long finish and clean from start to finish. Beautiful with planked salmon.

Light to medium red. Nose gently speaks of earth rich in vegetable material but also warm sun ripeness. Similarly gentle on the palate, with a welcome graininess and plentiful, thankfully not overripe, red and black berries and cherries. At 13.3% the overall feel is quite restrained in a welcome way, though still unmistakably New World in profile.

2007 is quite a nice vintage in ORegon and this wine does not disappoint. While not terribly complex, it delivers layers of different fruits - plums, red cherries, black raspberry -- and difficult to quite identify spices. Nice finish, too. Very solid effort. 88pts.

Beautiful nose and mellow palate of red fruits, drinks still young. Should become an exceptional wine in 1-3 years, all the right pieces and parts, just a bit too young right now. Perfectly paired with stuffed pork loin and spatzele, with rich fruit done in a very Burgundian style. Come back later for this one.
