  • A ton of shitty 07 OR Pinots (Patricia Green Cellars, Newburg OR): nose: pretty and hi-toned nose of red fruits, bits of herbs, red cherries, and red florals. Very expressive and pretty nose

taste: medium bodied with medium+ acidity and a elegant style and pretty tones of red fruits, red cherries, berries and a touch of tobacco tones

overall: a great way to start off the tasting. A very pretty pinot with a more red fruited take on both the nose and palate

  • Just what I was in the mood for. Lighter style with great balance, nothing sticking out. Can't believe this will be drinking better ever, so drink sooner than later. Clean fruit and light earth on nose (without glycerin or too much loam), fresh attack that is well aligned with the tannins and finish, pleasant and persisent finish that is clean and refreshing. Not over-powering but a winner. I am thinking of what it is not: too heavy, too glycerin, too loamy, too hot --I will stop, as it is simply good lighter OR Pinot Noir. A very pleasant quaffer on its own with a correct tang. Good things from this producer. Thumbs up.

  • Weekend Before Thanksgiving in the Willamette Valley, Oregon (Oregon): The nose is deep and full of super rich strawberry scents and brown sugar. Some great raspberry flavors come through on the palate along with some good acidity that runs all the way through. Some apple flavors come into play on the mid palate, with apple peel flavors showing on the finish. The tannins come in later, but are balanced. (Palate is burnt out at this point, so no formal score) 89+
