This is finally an OMG wine! Only took 12 years in the cellar (purchased in 2006)... The nose is dark plum, roses and tar - anyone else would call this their Barolo but even then it wouldn't have this depth... Tar immediate on the palate with floral notes highlighting the experience and then the cherry fruit completes it. The finish is long with power and finesse. A brilliant effort! Parker was bang on with this one but IMHO Low on points.

Little change in eight months, but the complexity has faded and there is still quite a bit of heat in the bottle. It probably needs another couple of years before achieving a semblance of balance.

Only let decant about an hour.. needed more time. Very dominant up front but did have a very smooth finish. Had a had time pulling all but the real dominant berry, tobacco flavors out. First try of a Nebbiolo/Barbera blend. If I try again I will let decant for 3+ hours. Seems to have some great potential

After one year of cellaring, not much change. Needs to decant for well over two hours to begin appreciating the nose and finish. Drinking this wine right out of the bottle gives one the impression it has peaked - it has quite a bit of time left in the bottle.

Had at wine dinner with Giorgio Pelissero. Tasted a little of this at the end of the night. Good nose. Soft tannins. Blend is 50 barbera, 50 nebbiolo. While it was tasty the price might be better spent on the single vineyard Barbaresco's.

Past peak, but still very good. Reiterate previous notes, with less fruit and bit more "minerality."

Drinking well - given the Barbera component not one to keep very much longer.
