  • At sixteen years of age, this bottle is likely nearing the end of its prime drinking window although it isn't showing any serious diminution yet. Dark blackish garnet colored, medium-full bodied, black fruits are overtaken by a layer of earth, creosote and smoke with hints of black olive, intermixed with tones of black cherry turning to a tangy layer of tannins on the lingering finish.

  • Dark black purple color - medium-full bodied. Initially, upon opening the fruit was subdued and muted, overtaken by a leather, wood cedar warranting an 87 rating. The next evening the character changed with full floral aromatics lingering and tasted throughout, highlighted by black cherry, black berry, anise and hints of black olive tapenade with floral lingering on the moderate tannin finish increasing to an 89 rating.

  • (javadrinker under lucidgrrl's account): This has improved a bit since the first bottle. A bit heavy on the oak but still lots of bright fruit. No tannins to speak of so this is pretty much ready to drink.

  • Not exactly sure how I feel about this wine. I've seen 90+ reviews and don't know if I agree and yet I enjoyed it quite a bit. Good color but fairly thin wine. Opened up after a bit. All in all, not a bad cab.
