Maybe this need a solid hour or two decanting or a year or two on shelf...oaky nose, and the palate is medium bodied, light tannins, but lots of oak/smoke and a little leather maybe. Might be more enjoyable with big grilled steak, but not enough fruit and to heavy on the woody notes.

Went well with BBQ'd chicken. Very full-bodied wine, mature. Smooth.
