This just never really came around to my expectations. While there is certainly no flaws in the wine...it's not standing out as I had hoped it would. High acidity and tart slightly green flavors of melon and wild strawberry. Drink now.

After-work wines with Kirk and Doug (Kirk's Place): Blind Rose: light salmon in color Nose: light melon, hint of carbonic maceration, it seemed - banana and candied watermelon flavors. Palate: light-to-medium body, with ripping malic acid and a nice finish of light tartaric. Great fruit flavors on the midpalate. Nice! I guessed oregon, but not the varietal.

Fiddling around down in the cellar and I started to move some things around. While picking up one bottle I accidentally twisted the cap a little and heard the seal break. So I decided to re-taste this wine again...and was pleasantly surprised. Bright fruit flavors of strawberry, watermelon, and no stem-y greenness. It was really quite interesting...to see the same wine show so very differently.

I really hate to start this wine off on such a negative note...but this was a huge disappointment for me. A pale salmon color in the glass with lovely scents of floral notes and a hint of watermelon that was really very intriguing. In the mouth there was very good acidity followed by flavors of strawberries...and then it got green. The mid-palate of this wine just screamed of berries that had been picked too soon with green stem tones that brought the enjoyment of this wine to a screaming halt. Maybe time will heal this...or maybe I somehow got an off bottle. I'm not sure what happened with this wine...but I will be interested to see what others are experiencing with this...

Color: Salmon/Peach
Smell: Melon, strawberries, and a hint of green banana in the background.
Taste: Still quite acidic with flavors of cranberry, un-ripe nectarine
