Reddish with some purple. Browning on edges, slight. Aromas of plump dark berries, plums, licorice, some greenness. Flavours of cassis, ripe berries, slight drying, medium tannins. Some licorice, and herbal elements. Nice wine but starting to fade. But very smooth and round. Just feeling a tad flat ...not much though.

Nose of red fruit and anise. Flavour is smooth and bold starting with anise, thyme and strawberry, followed by a bit of a peat and anise finish. About as good a bottle as I've had from Ontario, but twice the price of European equivalents.

LCBO "Taste Ontario" (AGO, Toronto): Tasted at the LCBO "Taste of Ontario" event. There is just no way that this wine is a 91, relative to other much better California Meritage or Bordeaux wines. I just drank a Chateaux Pontet-Canet 2001 that CT members rated at 91, that is vastly superior to this. There is quality and there is plonk. This is pure plonk.

nose of dark berries, coffee. Fruit, mild oak, soft tannins. Amazingly smooth and great length considering its youth. Can't wait to try it again in a few years

Probably was great 2-3 years ago but now just good-plus.

Long jam on the pallet. Early balenced acidity. Overall nice wine. Captures the essence of Niagara.
