After first opened it was very hot on the nose and very tanic. After letting open up and decant for over an hour it really opened up. Slight sediment in bottle, but wonderful wine.

It's coming out of its 7-year funk ... now it's ready and a wonderful, more bordeaux-style wine ... on the vegetabl-y side, but don't let that scare you. This wine, with a nice steak, is absolutely wonderful. (And, yes, it needs to be decanted --- it evolved nicely over a three-hour dinner.)

Was a bit subdued -- not sure if it's in the 7-year funk. Still solid, good acidity, but the fruit disappeared here ... will wait a year to see what happened.
