{screwcap, 14%} Warm-palated wine, tasting of spice, blackberries, milk chocolate with a touch of vanilla oak. It has low/medium dusty tannins and refreshingly medium acidity, not hugely advanced for 8 years old, but nonetheless somewhat hollow in its ripe black flavours. There’s a little spice to lift it, but it tastes rather more of aging red fruit rather than true aging complexity. On the plus side, there’s no sign of the unripe green character which sometimes shows in shiraz from R. Seems like it will keep further, but is there any point?

Nice balance between fruit, tannin and oak. Dark in colour, purple on the rim. Dark fruits, but in a subtle way. Spice, pepper and a little liquorice as well. Medium bodied, some tannin grip on the palate. Lovely mid-week drinking.

Very nice delicate balance. Not overly oaked or powerful as Barossas. black fruit and berries on the nose, intense fruit in the mouth with just the right amount of oak and pepper.

Want to like this more than I do, it's a solid bottle of wine quality wise, but just never seem to enjoy the flavour profile. Dark and meaty, but also has some ripe plum ntoes, comes off a bit too sweet.

Still very fruit driven and but enjoyable, complexity lurking behind this and silky smooth tannins - this could possibly evolve further but a very enjoyable if not thought provoking wine now

Very enjoyable. Black fruits, spice and some licorice. Secondary mocha/chocolate coming through. Improved with more time in the decanter. Not a monster and should drink well over next 5 years.

Enjoyable enough wine that improved after 2 hours decanting. Slight pepper spice overtones with solid chewy flavours integrating well now - drink in next few years.

Integrating very nicely, lovely dark sweet fruit backed by nicely handled oak, chewy and lush mouthfeel - no rush but drinking nicely after a couple of hours

Very good shiraz that is much more like an Adelaide Hills variety (white pepper) than one from the warmer regions e.g. Barossa and/or McLaren Vale. Will drink well for the next 5yrs.

Beautiful deep dark red colour with flashes of violet. Ripper nose of sweet red berries, blueberries, chocolate and spice. Wonderful classy palate of fleshy juicy fruit, perfectly structured and a long, long lifted floral finish. Stunner!

Very fine tanins. impressive fruits and berrys. Jammy, and fruit forward.
Delicious. Drinking well now and fresh for its age.

Nose of cinnamon, cherry as well as oak. Well balanced long rich fruit palate with good tannic structure (needs food).
