Ok wine. I thought this bottle was better then the previous, but not knocking my socks off. Clean and crisp with a lemon citrus aroma and a soft lemon/lime flavor.

The color is a pale yellow, but the nose is anything but pail. I get stong mineral stoniness and lots of crisp fruit and flowers. Kiwi and green apple. On the palate there is a wonderful acidic tingle that penetrates your whole mouth. There is lots more of that crisp stoney minerality and lots of citrus and kiwi fruits. The mouth feel of this wine coats the mouth and is far from watery but still light and fresh. This is a very good bottle of wine and I plan on spreading the wealth all summer long!

Refreshing and yummy Gruner. A bit one-dimensional. Key lime nose, green apple and grapefruit palate. Good acidity and adequate finish. A nice quafing wine. Good QPR. Another 5-7 years, but I like the freshness now.

2008 Gruner Veltliners (Vin Vino, Palo Alto): High toned citrus aromatics. Light, clean, and bright. Dry, not particularly prominent acidity but still refreshing. Some earthiness does come through at the end.
