This wine is still improving, the in your face fruit and spice have mellowed out & the wine also shows more complexity. Very enjoyable now, so why wait?

Clearly the greatest $8 bottle of zin on the planet. very well made, good clarity, barely a note of prune, and nice mouthfeel. I was moderately shocked, maybe '07 was just a great zin year in cali overall.

Fruity and oaky. Smooth as butter. Incredible QPR. I bought a case of this a while back, drank half of it, and now I'm thinking about buying another. At 10.99 a bottle, it's one of the best inexpensive zins.

Very fruity Zin with a long finish, surprisingly smooth and balanced, with supple tannins and quite fruit forward. I was recently at the winery and was surprised by the fine output across the board of high quality wines. This is not a great zin but a nice quaff with a fine QPR, get it if you find it under 15 bucks.

Fragrant aromas of dark cherry, kirsh, and whatever else may be described for the typical Sonoma zin aromas, garnet color, ruby rim. thick legs, medium body with velvety mouthfeel, red cherry, blackberry, earth, stighly milder mid-palate, refreshing acidity finish with sweet cherry and spice. Very tasty and for me perhaps the best $10 bottle in QPR.

Nice zin for the price. More of a red fruit play and medium bodied compared to the typical jammy black fruit and pepper from Sonoma. Very balanced, with fruit supplemented by nice acid and smooth tannins. Crowd pleaser.

On the nose: Some heat at first opening, but quickly dissipates. Mocha, Caramel, dusty currant pie. On the tongue: Light to medium body, lots of raspberry, blue berry, slightly sweet, but not overly so. Tried alone and with Mozza Squash Blossom Pizza and excellent Burrata. This is on the lighter side of what I normally prefer, but the nose is quite expressive after 10 min of opening and the flavors are quintessential zin. This would be another AP 2006 if it had a bolder mouthfeel. Regardless, it's an excellent QPR at $10-$11 and the best I've had in this price range in a long time.

Very nice, lighter style of Cali Zin. All the classic flavors are here but presented with a sense of restraint that works well at the table. No heat. At all. I really like this wine, especially for the pricepoint. 90.

Lots of blackberry and a little blueberry rounded out with spice. Well balanced with soft tannin. A good value that goes great with pizza.

When first opened, it was a little too acidic. However, 10 minutes later it tasted completely different. Let it breathe!
