medium red, orange rim - mature red cherry nose with some asian spice intermixed with barnyard smells - smooth mouth, but high acid predominates over fruit - short 5 second finish - a very nice and enjoyable food wine, but not what I had hoped for a premier cru Vosne-Romanee

Holidays 2017: Sleek and refined, with an approachable sappiness. More earthy & spicey than fruity but shows some nice raspberry flavor laden with rose petals. Probably not worth the freight, however, at the end of the day.

Wine opened up after 30-45 minutes. Deep rich color and complex wine which changed over a two hour timeframe. Not tannic at all, but still young for this great vintage. Have one more in the cellar which probably won't open for another few years. 92+ in my opinion.

From a split. Really nice nose with flowers, soil, and cherry. Not quite as expressive on the palate. Very bright acid with cherry and raspberry flavors. Medium-length finish.

(No Formal Notes Taken; Tasted at DB Bistro in New York). Notable dark color and while at first somewhat reclusive, this really develops in the glass, offering layers of rich black cherry Vosne fruit mixed with hints of spice and licorice. Quite big and broad, with firm but not aggressive tannin. Very young but this has incredible stuffing for development.

2005 Burgundy Grand Cru / 1er Cru Tasting (Denise Wines, Vivocity, Singapore): Slightly muddled nose at first, a little funk, but this blew off and the wine certainly opened up nicely with time. Dark fruit at first, with lighter rasberry tones coming out later. Mocha tones from the oak nicely undergirded the wne. There was something rather enticing and attractive about this wine. Rather noticeable alcohol on the palate (this was at 13.5%), with rather in your face acidity and a firm but well formed tannic backbone. Some spicy pepper notes and the littlest hint of minerality at the end. It's all a little unintegrated at the momement, but the constituent parts are there for this to develop into a nice wine in future. Even now, it had good poise and plenty of stuffing.

Funky nose with lots of woodspice, mocha notes and zingy attractiveness. Grippy and satisfying acidity with lots of spice laced fruits. Nice.

Dinner w/Bakers (Effie's, Lancaster): Still young and tight, this shows some promise. Good fruit and structure, but not giving up much yet.

Wow, crisp clean balanced and slightly stony, very young 05 on the nose and palate...
