lots of fruit without cloying/syrupy flavors. Raspberries, red cherries, fresh and bright. Excellent, paired with teriyaki hanger steak. Tannins are barely discernible, but strong structure with acid and I imagine it is peaking now (but what do I know?). Tastes like a spring red (vs. winter) with bright fruit and not heavy.

This is enjoyable, undoubtedly. Stony dark fruit nose, honey-covered figs, pencil lead, prune, Bing cherries, some green qualities, and oak influence-spice, vanilla, woodsiness. Bottle lasted days, this has nice tannic structure and will last years. To me it simply lacked the individuality and complexity I was hoping for. I'll have the 2007 Paradigm Cab Franc soon and compare. This was not as filled in the mid-palate as I had anticipated. At the price point, it is a nice wine, not a QPR, but a good ringer in a Cab line-up.

No formal notes but I enjoyed this quite a bit. Great dark fruit profile with some green veggie notes and just the right amount of oak. Drinking well now with a decant. This is Californiasized cab franc though. Would have a hard time guessing this was cab franc if blind tasted. Still, quite delicious and well crafted.

I hate giving numbers on wines. This has been one of my most enjoyed varietals at Ehlers since my first visit. This one does not disappoint, 100% Cab Franc. Cracked it after much debate upon receiving our Ehlers Spring allocation. I passed over the 120/80 and the Merlot to get to the Cab Franc. Glad I did! Amazingly rich fruit nose for this big tasting well-balanced Cab Franc. At least as good as the CF that I have had at Ehlers. Thanks!

Had to loosen up, but well structured wine with great finish of caramel and chocolate. Could have had more nose.
