Some Syrah perfume with white pepper, medium volume and good acidity but all in all relatively simple. Does not live up to the expected level for a Côte Rôtie.

Very nice aromatics despite that it lacks a little weight, very persistent flavours, fruit receeded slightly, pepper, violets, tar, chinese ink. Nice but on the way down...drink up if any left in the cellar within 2 years.

Medium garnet colour. The nose shows pronounced intensity aromas of prunes, black pepper and hints of cedar and black olives.
The wine is dry in the mouth with a high crisp acidity. It has medium+ fine-grained tannins and a medium alcohol. It has a medium+ body and pronounced intensity flavours. The finish is medium+.
It is a very good quality wine. The nose seems a bit tired but it keeps freshness of flavours in the mouth and a crisp acidity. It is persistent and very concentrated, but a better example of this style would show more complexity.
