Not my favorite of the Lato pinots. This one tasted mildy oxidized and pruney. Drinkable, but not very pleasant. PErhaps another bottle will show better. Will try again soon.

Lovely purity and precision, though perhaps not quite as aromatically effusive as my first. (But being shared amongst five, it didn't have a lot of time to develop.)

Wine Flock California Pinot Noir 2001-2008 (Dennis' Place on Erie): Uber funky pungent nose. Lots of rich shroomy moss and sulfur. Fruity candied watermelon. A little mustard seed. Really fresh and lively. Great all around wine. A little tart play that I enjoy. Good back end. Younger for sure. Drinking well now with a solid decant though. Cool climate styling. Great wine.

Took to a wine tasting where wife and I were the only ones who showed up. Pop and pour. Well, this was an immensely lovely wine to be left alone with (along with a Vacqueryas), though I would have loved to share as well. Beautiful aromatics with cherries, high and low toned spices, herbs, forest floor. Medium or med+ weight, rich, silky, and succulent. Couldn't keep our hands (or lips) off of this. 92-93

Best bottle I've had of this. Terrific tertiary development, complex, with lovely aromatics. Outstanding showing.

Never one of Paul Lat's best efforts and starting to fall apart now. Drink these within first 8 years or so.

Precise with great purity. Excellent wine though I would say missing a sense of mystery

Lots of kirsch and cherry. Very ripe. Candied fruit. Wildly decadent and gulp-able. Disappeared much too quickly.
At first, is this Grenache? With time, settled into its Pinot lane. Exciting interpretation of the varietal, and absolutely delicious.

Awesome bottle of wine. Fragrant nose with spice, herb and darker red fruits. Silky smooth in the mouth, long, lingering finish.

(at Bouchon – Santa Barbara) Big, enveloping and velvety wine. Complex aromatics that have a distinct spice edge. Very popular choice. (91)
