Second night, after storing in the fridge. Much juicier and more open. A bit of red sweet fruits, and earth, with upfront, fine tannins. Rounder and softer than the first night, trading energy and freshness for sweet fruit and tannin.

Bright red, very transparent and bright. Evidently not dense or extracted - even a bit pale/watery at the bricking edges. Nose of earth, dried cherries. Fresh is the first word I think of, then earthy and savory with a touch of sweetness and a bit of bitterness/spiciness coming from the stems. Some tannin on the finish. A good drink now.

Wood on the nose straight away, behind which there was tea and some red fruit. slightly sweet tasting, though no RS and a nice mouthfeel. Perhaps in a closed state and needs more time to integrate, but the wood was a little too dominant right now for me. Rebuy: maybe.

Tasted non-blind with winemaker. Nose is slightly sweet with some funky barnyard notes. On the palate, it starts slightly sweet but becomes almost bitter in the middle with some sour red fruit on the finish before ending with some rubber. Fairly short finish. Hold 2-3 years.

2008 Thibault Liger-Belair Burgundies, and '09 Beaujolais (Vin Vino Wine, Palo Alto, California): Slightly cloudy, medium cherry red color with pale meniscus; very green, sweet green herb, tart cherry, roast coffee nose; tasty, poised, tart cherry, roast coffee palate, accessible now but needs 2-3 years to integrate; medium-plus finish

Red 2008 en primeur tasting. Closed on the nose. Some cherrie flavors. Light bodied. Not much concentrated. Light soft tannins en short finish.
