Full bodied with subdued dark red fruit on nose. Bright cherry, cassis, hints of eucalyptus or menthol and tobacco on palate. M acid, M soft tannins, long finish.

Still dark purple and opaque, with prominent cassis and some herbal notes. Fairly full-bodied but very smooth and well-balanced, mouth-filling flavors with no significant tannin left. A hint of prunes, though, indicating it's just past its prime. Very nice, but time to drink up. Ric

Purple color with some brown in the rim. Different from the first bottle that I tasted with a very unusual bouquet and flavor, which brings to mind stewed prunes. No depth or finesse. A very odd Cabernet.

Purple color with a hint of brown in the rim. Herbal nose with a taste mainly of tobacco and with a slight harshness to the ending. Drinkable but not a wow wine.

Wonderful wine! This is drinking very well now and has attained impressive balance. It is a big red and black fruit wine with a sweetness that is Aussie. There was very little sediment and no need for decanting. We opened it an hour and a half before dinner. It did not change much during the course of the evening. It was better than the 2002 we had a few months back.

Agree with the crowd--this wine is finally coming into its own. Still has plenty of fruit, and it certainly packs a wallop. However, it is more balanced than it was in the past. This bottle had a lot of sediment. Decanting is definitely warranted here.

Quite a handsome bottle now, and will hold up to lots of time in the cellar, as it's still going strong from the countertop 36 hours after a double-decant.

Here we go! This wine has turned the corner and is now a drinkable, respectable bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon. A treat after many worried cellar visits. ("When is this ever going to turn? Is it going to go the way of the Clarendon Hills Grenache-based wines?")

Wonderful plum and blackberry flavors. Awesome nose. Long finish but a bit hot on the finish which really detracted from the wine. Should be amazing in another 3-5 years.

Big Cabernet that is starting to come together. Big fruited in the nose and on the palate. Still has some chewy tannins, but they are beginning to integrate. Enjoyed with grilled fillet. You could open these now, but I think it will yet improve.

I do not agree with Parker on this wine. The nose is exudes creamy cherries and casis. The taste has a predominate fruit flavor of strawberries and cherries. It is a delicious flavor but there is little else going on in this wine. Tannins are on the soft variety and cedar and earthiness and complexity are just lacking. I would guess this wine to be a Syrah or Grenache not a Cabernet. Hopefully it is in a dumb period and will come around over time.

Nice little bottle of wine. Surprisingly elegant and medium-bodied, but definitely Australian and full of fruit. Still has some hot tannin on the end, but is certainly approachable this very minute. Nice bottle of wine, and, given the price, a pretty f

Quintessential Aussie cab -- big, boisterous, juicy style that I haven't tasted from elsewhere. While enjoyable, still lacks the secondary nuances and complexity of flavors that France and the US can deliver (no earth, tobacco, pencil lead, etc.). Fun for what it is, though...

Nose: figs, cherry, tobacco, and tamarind.
Palate: very well balanced. Salty with licorice, red fruit, and tamarind.

Simply superb. Drinking very well even at the tender age of 16! Drink now or in the next 3-4 years and decant for at least an hour.

Purple color with rust at the edge. Brief window of muted fruit, but very quickly became oxidized. Over the hill. I left it without a rating.

Tangy, rich fruit - nice wine, probably could have used a longer decant (only 1 hour)
