Grade: O. 1 hour uncorked, followed by 2 hours in the decanter. Nice cherry color and promising nose of ripe red fruit, plums and camphor was let down by a very unbalanced palate. The fruit was over-whelmed by too much acidity and harsh, bitter tannins. No great loss at only $9, but poor value even at that price.
My Grades: EXX-Exceptional, EX-Excellent, VG-Very Good, G-Good, O-Ordinary, P-Poor, U-Ungraded

Received six bottles of this with personalized labels as a wedding present in 2010. This bottle was unique. Distinct smell of antique furniture drawer. Initial palate to match though more subdued. As the wine aired softer herb flavors appeared on the finish, making this a truly interesting wine, especially for the price.

Shut down right now. Maybe some faint dusty currant on the nose. The palate is dominated by smoke and some bitter, harsh tannins. There is some detectable fruit, but it's kind of a fake candied flavor. Not good right now -- perhaps this will improve when the tannins resolve.

For the price ($12) its a nice blend, red fruit with light tannins. The cab franc really shows up in the finish.

This was stored at 68F for two years. Still enjoyable although slightly bitter finish. Completely generic Merlot based Bordeaux.

70% Merlot, 15% Cab, 15% Cab Franc. not too bad everyday wine.
