aroma - green herbs, spices, dark fruit, chalk (very mild), tiny bit of petroleum; taste - raisin, chewy, pie fruit (mixed cherry), some oak on finish to make buttery, warming at the end

Merry Christmas from Farpointe! (Farpointe Cellar): Cherry and chocolate on the nose, with plum, strawberry and floral notes at the end. Rich and juicy on the palate, with sour cherry and plum, and a nice cocoa finish.

Cinnamon and ripe fruit, in that very Ancien textured way. Juicy dark fruit, great texture of a wine. Just a bit of tomato leaf, I like drinking these very young.

Bold fruit with some matching oak. Drinking amazingly well now. Shows the edge of Carneros and the high toned cherry fruit. '08 was a very concentrated fruit, lots of frost damage, richer, juicier.
This is about 95% Toyon, almost all to the Swan clone. There is a touch of 115 for sandalwood aromas on the nose. Overall the Swan powers the wine up, giving up the brawny. Some years they have gone with Toyon Vineyard on the label but on occasion they want to fresh it out a bit.

Feminine nose of ripe raspberry and cranberry with floral spices. Raspberry, vanilla, allspice palate. Moderate acidity. Soft tannins. Prefer the RRV.

Ben is right on. Enjoyed this with ribeye through dark chocolate and opened for each course.
