Yellow- straw. Oxidative nose, floral, sake, but if apple nose. Palate dry, oxidative (subtle, and enjoyable), slightly saline, light fruit quality, drink now.

This wine has developed well over time. A beautiful golden color, this wine has developed some additional depth since my last tasting. I wish I had a few more.

- Amber color - A chenin blanc very much in the style of a Saviennier. Really an excellent compliment to grilled sword fish. Dry, salty and hints of lemon. Body wise it's light, with a long finish. It worked very well with dinner and also with a bit of hard cheese. Don't serve it ice cold. Needs to warm up a bit. Wish I had some more. The winery promised to add two bottles to my allocation.

13.4% alcohol. Medium yellow color. Still a pretty, mineral-laced nose of citrus fruit and floral notes. In the mouth, this has smoothed out over the past couple years. Pretty, stony fruit profile, with less acidity than previously but still tangy. Good and refreshing. A-

Disappointing. Pear and apple and a faint bit of leather. Good acid but the residual sugar seemed to be hiding a more serious wine. The score might be a touch low, but I wanted more from this wine.

Nice and crisp but lacking really focused flavors. Mouthfeel a bit less viscous than I might have expected but still very enjoyable bottle. Had good acid level and would say a food friendly wine.

Nice slightly tart citrus and green apple overtones. Not necessarily the most complex wine but paired well with steamed mussels. The mussels brought out the mineral notes that I didn't get on the first taste. Would like to pair with oysters.

Superb minerality. A clean fresh wine with citrus and green apple notes. Sweet green melon nectar and grapefruit with plenty of body to match the acidity.

First Impression: Really nice sharp dry acidity, yet with a quite full mouthfeel. Fun first sip. Very enjoyable and easy to drink. 91/92. Overall Impression: The ultra-sharp edge fades a bit in the glass. Not that much complexity underneath, though a very pleasant mineral taste. 88. Enthusiasm: Wish I had more. Makes me more likely to stay on the WS mailing list (and buy a few Pinot), so good for them. 89.

13.4% alcohol. Not as crisp and bracing as previous bottles. This was smoother. Light yellow color. Pretty nose of citrus fruit and minerals. In the mouth, refined and balanced, showing good concentration to the citrus and green apple fruit, with much softer acidity. A-

Extreme minerality. Notes of green apple and salt. On second tasting, far more in the way of floral aromatics. Some very chipper fruit flavors as well. Still has the strong underlying stone character, though this is less austere than the first time, which had a minerality so extreme as to be nearly freakish. A more balanced wine, which is enhancing. Modest acidity, leading me to believe the pleasures of this wine will be relatively short-lived. Still, good concentration and lively for now.

13.4% alcohol. This is a wine that shows well on its own. It has that mineral-laden fruit profile, with unapologetic acidity that isn't out of line for this wine. The fruit is cool but not reserved. Delicious now but could use some age. A-

Straight forward, balanced wine with acidity on the finish to keep it interesting. This drinks well now for its focus and crisp acidity; however, there is not enough complexity to make this compelling.

Tasted at the winery. 13.4% alcohol. Wow, this is a crisp, racy wine that just grabs your attention. It's very young still, with stony, tart fruit and tons of minerality. The acidity is pretty fierce at this stage. Looks like it could seriously develop into a Savennieres-like wine. A-

Very nice with roasted chicken. Beautiful straw color. Great fruit on the palate but not as much acid or minerality that I remember from the winery.

Nice bright aromas of pear and green apple. Very nice acid bite but rather muted fruit that didn't quite stand up to the acid.
