Bdx on the nose. Leather, earth and a little wood. In the mouth it´s medium to full bodied with integrated tannins and medium acidity. A little bit of non integrated oak on the finish but a very good effort and nice bang for the buck. No need to wait longer.

Tasted at home over 2 evenings, accompanying steak and cheese. My first tasting of this wine and I was impressed. Good Bordeaux characteristics, soft merlot dominating, good earthiness and well structured. Very good.

A heady mixture of blackcurrant and dried plums smoothed out and spiced up by barrel ageing. Soft, rich and full, it didn’t possess the elegance and structure that singles out claret from a standard Cabernet-Merlot blend. Certainly a crowd-pleaser, perhaps a little too international in style for my taste. CHP 88 pts

Delicious and juicy, with dark plum fruits, dark berries. But now also starting to develop earthy tones. This wine is gaining in complexity but without loosing it´s fruity appeal. A fine piece of modern bdx.

Lush and fresh. Licorice and herbs and spices. Very dark color. Almost black. Delicate but mouthwatering. Very enjoyable. 60 cab, 35 merlot and 5 petit verdot.

Nose: Licorice, Maggi/Soy Sauce, dark berries like blackberries. Mouth: Consistent with the nose. It has some grip but the tannins are ripe and not bitter at all. Very balanced wine but I have wished the aromas to be a bit more pronounced. Finish a bit short. After a while of breathing the wine opens up more and I can sense a subtle cherry flavor. This is not a blockbuster wine but leans rather towards Burgundy meaning it is elegant and feminine. It could be confused with a Supertuscan. 14% alc. but hardly noticeable.

In stark contrast to the bottle tasted in December 2014, this does display its Saint-Estèphe terroir very well and does not overwhelm it with the weight of its ripe Merlot fruit or its luscious oak. Rich but not jammy, rounded and really well-balanced, earth and graphite, middle-grained tannins are ripe but still a bit grippy, clean flavours, good length. A complete wine that needs two years and will last another five to ten, but I question its ability to really improve beyond what it is now.

This opened up after about 2.5 hours. The nose is fruity and lively. The palate leading to the finish is quite nice. Typical St Estephe flavours. There is a soft delicate elegant touch here.

Dark berries, earthy, leather on the Nase. On the palate chocolate, less fruit. Wood is very present. Middle finish. Classic Bordeaux, very good value. I'll wait 3-4 years for the next bottle.

A blend of 60% Merlot, 27% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc and 10% Petit Verdot. Deep plush crimson colour (thank you Jancis); rich and ripe black cherry fruit, mocha and a hint of tar, vanilla, lead pencil, good depth, minerals; the palate is deliciously sweet and balanced, with ripe acidity and slightly angular tannins, lovely flavours and good weight and intensity; very good length. I like its decidedly modern style, but tasting blind I might have found it difficult to distinguish this from a good Ribeira del Duero...

Showing nice maturity, but still full of life and warm fruit, dark plums, sweet tobacco, some herbal notes, liqorice, but overall a pretty straightforward fruitdriven bordeaux. There is something in this wine that feels unresolved and underexposed so I hope for a peak in 2-7 years but not more. Absolutely solid. Perfect balance. A wine that is good the whole meal. You know what I mean.

One of the better value wines from St. Estephe, from a blend of 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Petit Verdot, the wine is medium bodied with notes of coffee bean, dark cherries, stone and earth. Round in texture, there is a nice black raspberry sensation in the finish.

Some unpleasant youthful notes on the nose that largely blow off after an hour in the decanter, leaving a light floral nose with violets and graphite. Light to medium bodied, smooth tannins with a good balance between sweetness and acidity, this is beginning to come round, maybe 2 more years yet.

Smooth with underlying strenght. Vanilla, floral, herbal spice and cassis nose, some undergrowth after swirling. with additional of prunes, it gives a smooth and harmonious palate. Medium long finish with oak and spiciness.
Second bottle is slightly corked, drinkable but not nearly as pleasing. JR scored it at 17 and 14.5 under different occasions, the latter with notes "very introvert". So maybe it's bottle variation?
I'll definitely try this again.

3 flights and 7 courses (Hemmavid (Umeå, North of Sweden)): Young, purplish color. Fatty young nose with oil-paint and dark berries. Per os this is young, tart and tannic with a thin mid-palate. Not terribly interesting Merlot-dominant St Estephe. 88p for now, may gain a few points with maturity.

dense violett colour, intense nose of cassis, spicy, on the palate at the moment really smooth, fullbodied with fresh integrated fine tannin, basket full of blackberrys, balanced, long aftertaste, hmmm......, but is this still St. Estephe? should age well, 88- 90?

Dark red with lighter red at the rim - cassis and menthol on the nose. Medium bodied, with quite subtle integrated tannins, clean and fresh - this has a way to go yet, but is promising - the only drawback is 14% alcohol.
