Opened and decanted, drank over two nights. Very dark and fruit forward for a Rioja crianza. On day one: high acidity and sour, (this is not a wine to drink without food) with only hints of oak on the nose and none on the palate. Day two: I found this much easier to drink, however, the good attributes of this wine faded right along with the bad. I feel there are much better Rioja's for this price point.

Deep maroon color. Full bodied. One hour decant. Dense, lush, and simple, filled with lots of black fruit. Decent structure and balance. Solid, enjoyable wine; very good for the price.

Nose of rose jam, alcohol, mace, seawater and cherry. Quite shy though. Tastes of sour cherry, leather, cedar, kumquat. A bit rough for a Rioja - everything is jumbled and dark.

Some nuttiness and baking spices on the nose. Rich red berry fruit. On the palate, it's youthful, vibrant and juicy. Loads of strawberry and currant fruit. Slight hints of sweet tobacco leaf. Nice balance and structure. Surprising for a 6 year old Crianza!

90% Tempranillo and 10% Graciano aged in American oak barrel for 12 months. Nice bouquet of ripe cherry and vanilla. Pleasant on the palate, showing soft tannins and a nice complexity of flavors: licorice, cherry and plum are upfront and blended with some oak, dried herbs and pepper. Notes of cocoa, along with more fruit and earth on the finish. A vibrant acidity keeps it well balanced (retail $12.99)

Good value at this price: $14. Needs air to develop/realize its potential/fullness. Got tobacco at times. Decanted entire bottle, then each pour went through the Vinturi. Opened up over time. Would buy again.

Average red table win, decent for the $. Not very complex and cannot stand alone without food, but would pair well with most Italian red sauce dishes.

Sour and rustic and not necessarily in a bad way. Nonetheless I'm glad I don't have any more in the cellar.

Alcoholic, the first few sips had a slight burn in the throat due to the 13.5% alcohol; not unpleasant, however.

Great cherries and spice. A little soft in the middle and disjointed. But enjoyable.
