reticent nose of cotton candy. butter and caramel flavors. not alot of fruit. lots of oak as could be expected. medium acidity. respectable finish. a good $10 chard

Very impressive, great value wine. It's nice to see a Cali chard that isn't full blown oak. This is a nice balance of green apples, toast, vanilla, and butter. Oak shows a bit towards the finish, but is again in balance with rest of wine. Also a nice acidity is present, making a great food wine.

Let this breathe for a bit before trying. It has more fruit and complexity than it initially shows.

Great as an aperitif or by itself. Avoid pairing with a balsamic vinaigrette. 87 1/2
