DOA. As with the Santenay VV last year, this was not good. Actually not that far gone, and likely could have been okay about three years ago. Missed it, but no great loss.

After a two-hour decant, lots of earth and mushroom flavors with a smoky finish, but little fruit. Good with food that marries well with earthy and light pinot. Very soft and silky.

Medium garnet core, no sign of age. Earth, truffle, dead leaves and forest surround a core of red berry fruit. Light toward medium bodied, high acidity (or is there too little fruit?) and a tense, almost green/bitter finish. OK with the season's first salmon, but on its own, I couldn't manage more than one sip. 13,0% abv
Aerated to decanter 1 hour, served non-blind

Picked up the last bottle in a closeout sale and didn't know what to expect. I had planned to make boeuf bourguignon and chose this bottle for the stew, but as soon as tasted it I was tempted to save it and drink it all instead. Instead I used 2/3rd of the bottle in the recipe and enjoyed the rest with the meal.
This is a delicate wine with fruit, acidity, and tannins in perfect balance. I would characterize the fruit as sour cherry or cranberry with a hint of strawberry on the finish. There is also a brambly note that gives it character. If I could find more of this on sale I would stock up.
I don't know much about Burgundy, but I've been impressed with how well some less expensive 2007's are drinking.

We tried to PnP on night #1, but this was just no fun. Tight, unrelenting, and nearly austere, we re-corked it and visited it again the next night - dramatically better, but still, this needs serious bottle rest. I have three left that I won't even think to open before 2015. But I'm under no illusion, while this might, one day, maybe, move from good toward very good, it won't ever be in the very good toward excellent category. 13,0% abv.

So... this is not what I was expecting at all. I expected a tart, delicate wine that could use time to coax flavors. Instead I get a dense, meaty wine, still wound up, lots of material. The old vines perhaps? Maybe too meaty and dense for me. Maybe needs a lot of time. There is some sign of seepage here, so I may have to take this up with the vendor, and perhaps that is the reason for an unusual presentation. Certainly not bad, just different than expected. I will let this go for a while and see if something prettier unwinds from this dense ball of wine, but if you were to drink this now, you'd still find a lot to think about.

I want to give this one a chance, I was hoping to find a value, but its way too sour for my tastes. It is eye watering. It'd probably be great with fatty foods as it will cut through diamonds.

Decanted 30 minutes for aeration, served over the following 2 hours. Dark garnet core with some transitional development. The nose is pure barnyard/sous bois for the first 10 minutes - which was exciting and portended good things to come. Once the funky notes had dissipated, they were replaced by strawberry, mushrooms, black earth and a touch of vanilla. The palate is medium bodied and wishes to hold on to its secrets at the moment, but with more air time and a fair bit of swirling, things come together nicely, with avg balance (the acids are pretty high) and overall enjoyment. Excellent food wine. I have 4 left and after this showing, I think I'll let them sleep for at least a year or two. 13,0% abv, drink thru 2015

I was getting ready to send this one back, but I had my 3rd bottle last night at a French wine tasting, and I think I'll give it another chance. It's a bit high on the acidity for my tastes, but plenty of air seems to pull it together. It probably needs some more time on the shelf. 85?

Better than the previous bottle, more fruit. At one point, intense sweet cherry and vanilla. It went well with gumbo.
