Northern Rhone (blind) (Willamette Wine Storage): Smells a bit soapy, and like a crab shell. Really weird, but interestingly good. The palate is fairly rich and creamy, showing some spice and jasmine flower. Nice acidity burns deep into the finish in a very pleasing kind of way, surrounded by minerality. Not a very complex wine, but very delicious for what it is.

The nose here is rich and full of green apple scents and young peaches as well as a hint of honey. Bright acid tickles the tongue on contact. Full, ripe, green apples flavors dominate. A floral note sets in on the finish, and the residual sugar is very well balanced with the acid. Apple peels, and the enjoyable acidity linger on the sides of the mouth as the finish runs out. I really like the fruit on this!

Won out in a blind tasting of 4 Oregon Rieslings. Really well put together, light minerality and acidity frames the fruit beautifully. A very nice wine and smashing QPR. Day 2 this is still doing very well. Still very well balanced and delicious, made great breakfast wine.

Memorial Day Weekend Wine Tour (Eola-Amity Hills): The nose is nice with a hint of lilacs, some minerality and distinct riesling fruit. There's a hint of honey and peaches along with some nice acidity. It falls off a bit on the finish, but is very clean and enjoyable. Very solid wine for QPR ($16 from winery.)
