Copious amounts of sediment. Opened for several hours and still improving. Fabulous noise of lacquer, honeycomb, fennel and mocha. Earthy lively mouth with good acid, more honeycomb and anise. Darrell Lea licorice and mocha on a long finish. This was a hit with the table and excellent with skirt steak, mushrooms, garlic broccoli and scalloped potatoes

I thought this was really great. Disagree with the drinking window above- still has the guts to be wonderful 5+ years from now. I paid $20 for this and can't imagine how you could ever get more from a bottle of petite sirah for that price- delicious ripe rich berry fruit, tannin and acid in perfect balance. Lip smackingly yummy and hard to put down. Give it to friends and tell them it's a $100 Turley petite sirah and they won't question it for a second

Wow! Once again further proof that no one does petite sirah better than Gerhardt at Delectus! Tremendous depth in this wine with notes of blackberry and beautifully softened tannins. Coats the palate and makes you want more.

Excellent wine. Very smooth with red plum, red wild berry flavors that are almost lush. The tannins are still lingering and will likely not soften much but it adds to the structure.

Still a solid PS, despite drinking window. Fruit has begun to diminish, but soft tannins make for a long finish.

Still terrific, despite the drinking window. Usually I agree, but not here.

If you have it drink it now, still very nice. Good fruit and big aroma remain, but maybe not for long.

Excellent effort. Very complex structure with fruit and tannins nicley balanced. Plumb and Blackberry flavors dominate.
