Very nice and just what I hope for from a rosé. Deliciously fruity with strawberry, cherry and peach swirled together. Smooth mouthfeel and nice acidity. Crisp, refreshing, and a pleasure to drink.

Very nice rose, perfect for poolside. Completely dry in the mouth. Nose with notes of strawberry and some earth. Crisp and inviting in the mouth. Nice level of acid and good balance.

Rose Fest 2011 The Gourmet Shop, Columbia, SC: A perennial favorite among my wine drinking buddies, we are quite familiar with many vintages of this wine. It always has just a little more color than it's contemporaries. The 2009 is at least on par with most of the other vintages. There is an undertone of complexity here, it is not all simple fruit. I think I catch a wiff of olive leave on the nose. There is the beginning of some white pepper spiciness. Generally, as expected the overall flavor profile is ripe raspberry and strawberry fruit. It is refreshing without being heavy. Does not break down as it passes through to the finish.

Color light bright pink with salmon hues, medium-light body. Bouquet of strawberries, watermelon, white pepper, and a little rose apple. On the tongue, a twist of pepper mill accompanied by strawberries, light cherries, and some apple. A bit of astringency to the red fruit flavors in the short finish adds briskness. Overall pleasant and very approachable, although very simple and lacking in minerality one expects given the varietal blend and the origin. As I was drinking this I thought "this tastes like something from a production of 20,000 cases or more", and sure enough, the importer note indicates 25,000. For value there are Rhone rose's that deliver more complexity in similar price range.

Those who favor whites with a bit of residual, thought this a bit acidic, but that's not saying much. Should have gone with $^ plonk.

Very nice simple CdR rose; strawberry and a bit of melon on the nose and palate balanced with nice acidity and low residual sugar. Not too bad.
