Absolutely stunning. Opened 2 hours before drinking it, poured a small glass straight after opening to check the wine. When we got to it, what a wine. In a great phase of its life, could develop more in a decade but seems to be in the right spot if you like fruit and more than just primary fruit. Everything is in balance. A profound wine and a reminder why some Californian cabs are truly amazing and not just alcoholic oak fruit bombs.

I've tried many cabs from this age in the last few years. This one had no fade and is juicy and wonderful. Thankfully, the cork held up too and had a long way to go. Most of the cabs like Caymus, Conn Valley Anderson, Frank Family, Heitz, Bryant Family, etc. all go to the same place with a linear finish that is underwhelming. I applaud the vintage. I want a different experience in each cab and got it here. Other than Diamond Creek can't think of the last time I get a different flavor profile. Well done.

One of the best California Cabs I have had in a long time. Nose is good with dark fruit and earth tones. The wine is well made with a nice mouth feel and palate to match a wine of this price point. Top quality juice from a good maker.

Rich deep purple with a big dark currant nose. This time I decanted the bottle for two hours which made a huge difference in the mouth feel and softness of the wine. Silky smooth dark berries and sweet plums with a hint of chocolate. 3hrs after opening the wine was still unfolding. 2007 and no sediment.

The wine looks purple colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry, cassis, prune, raisin, flint and game. It tastes like blackberry, blueberry, fig, raisin, black pepper and apricot. The body is full with a silky texture and overall well integrated. Long finish and medium acidity.

Elegantly styled, medium/full bodied, fresh, soft, polished, bright expression of California Cabernet Sauvignon, finishing with a sweet, cherry, and spicy, cassis end note.

Still big and bold. Deep garnet in the body and ruby in the meniscus. A bit of alcohol on the nose along with spice and pepper. Black fruit - black cherries, currants, raisins - tannins, spice, and the pepper immediately to the taste. Maybe some cocoa in the finish.

Rich purple fruit, firm tannins, and a bit of earthiness and spice. Well balanced now with 2+ hours of air, but will likely age easily for 5+ years, so no rush to open.

Dark fruit, a lot of complex spices, smokey oak on the finish. It lacked some layers of spice. Also it seemed a bit unbalanced a little to dry on the finish. It might be a B wine.

One hour double d. Firm round tannins, good acidity and fair complexity. Very well made wine paired with skirt steak and risotto porcini trifolati.
Great afternoon!

Tremendous SL cab. Probably could go another 5-7 years. Well made, great fruit, and impeccable flavor. Dink now while still bold, if desired

Very nice drink! Full of flavor and yet smooth and easy to drink. Great balance. Dark red fruits. Some anise. I could drink all night.
