On opening this wine is lively, cherry stone - like a flat lambrusco secco. Just right to fight it out with spag bol. Next day its more like the maker intended it I think. smooth and fruity with a fine cherry stone twist and more pronounced than before - a distinct liquorice touch in mid-palate. Is that a function of it ageing?

Drank cellar cool @ 12ish. Good bitter fruit but probably too cold really - still this way it works with bolognese.

Good deep red with purple hints. Warm nose with that distinctive cherry stone edge. Good warm mouthful, smooth, short. Overall a bit neutral but okay

Fruit and bitter cherry stone with some liquorice and violet. This went very well with the food.

First time this has worked at room temperature and I think it is because it was decanted for so long. Full fruit and smooth with a spicy edge to it.

Cherry red, fruity, bitter. Lovely quaffing wine that is really enjoyable cool and fresh - despite the instructions on the bottle
