ABV: 9.5%. This wine is in a perfect spot right now, and probably won't last much longer. Fragrant nose of green apples mixed with flinty minerality and a hint of honey. Additional fruits of kiwi and d'Anjou pear appear on the mid-palate, and dances together with the well-integrated acidity. The excellent finish leaves you salivating. Need to find the bottle(s) that I have left and drink'em up!
1/1/2022 - Had about half of the bottle left in the fridge so I drank the rest of it today (on day two). Needless to say, I raised my rating by two points (from 91 to 93) because it was absolutely delicious! It also paired perfectly with my curry chicken over rice. What a great, yet simple, food and wine pairing to start off the new year.

A.P.#36. Yellowish-straw colour. Green apple and yeast, much more so than previously - it's like the previous vintage in that regard. Slate. The palate is riper than the previous vintage, though, possessing golden fruit flavours. Yellow apple. Lovely bright acidity. Best bottle to date. Fine.

Apple juice, pure and simple. Where's my sippy cup? While a big dolop of acidity would go a long way here, I still like it for the price. Drink sooner rather than later.

- Yellow gold color with medium forming legs and aromas of apple and has flavours of apple - My wife and I have really enjoyed St Urbans-Hof Rieslings this summer. I must say that I have not been a white wine guy in the past, really exceptional!!!

light green with bubbles in glass. aromas of mineral/slate/wet rock, peach, flowers. zippy acidity, peach, light petrol. light bodied, short finish and a prickly mouthfeel from the gas.

Consistent with previous notes. Like this a touch more than the Dr. L (which is also a standby for us) because this one has a bit more minerality on the finish. Very solid for the price. Super reliable producer.

I agree with most of the rest here. Could have had a bit more "spritz" (my favorite part of a Riesling). Overall, very ordinary, but not bad for the money.

Very nice. Great QPR play. Light in color, with a good nose of summer fruit (peach, apricot) and some fall fruits in their too (apple, touch of pear). Taste is rich and complex with nice acid covering a dry-to-off-dry finish that lingers. Starts out a bit thin, but improves with catching some air. Head and shoulders above the NY State and Washington Rieslings I've had recently.
Not a GREAT wine, but a very good one. 89+ Just can't pull the trigger on a 90. Finish isn't quite strong enough. Need to find this one on a regular basis.

Nice. Lively fruit and I like the streak of minerality in this. The acidity was OK but I would have liked a touch more. Still, a nice Riesling for $12.

Wine Festival Tasting Room, quick notes. Lots of mineral on the nose, along with some light sulfur, green apple, and nectarine. Tart palate of gala apple, minerals, pear, and apricot.

On the nose there's a lot of minerality, pear and something that makes me think of rubber bands, which I like as it makes me thing something interesting is going on with the way the alcohol is integrated. I got pretty much the same on the palate, plus a little dustiness and good acidity. A dry style of riesling that may make it pair well with curries and spicy shellfish. On it's own, though, it needs a little of such foods to carry it through. It's young still, and I bought a couple of bottles based on the reputation of the winemaker, and don't regret it...especially at its price point.

Really showing well today with peach, apricots, floral and pinneapple. Blind I might think this is a Kabinett or Spatlese. Wonderful wine and a great QPR.

Another solid showing for this wine with more refreshment than years past. This shows apple, pear, minerals and apricots. A shorter finish but it is refreshing. A nice introduction wine to someone not familar with German Riesling.

Golden straw color. Nose of honeysuckle, savory, candy, and stones. Very solid on the palate as well with zingy acidity, balanced sweetness, and yellow fruits buttressed by spices. Great character and density.

First night: poured small sample and immediately hit with a good dose of sulfur eclipsing apple and tropical fruit aromas. On the palate, really nice acidity and undertones of pretty mirabelle plum and peach flavors. This first glass was pretty unexciting and at first inscrutable. Pulled the bottle out of the fridge 4 days later. Wow, air really helped this wine. Very expressive now, with wonderful viscosity, nice acidity, good length. At this time, I would definitely recommend giving this wine some serious air or cellar for at least 2 years. A very good QPR.

Interesting wine where the fruit and mineral seem to balance each other. Somewhat fruity and slightly sweet, although not really beyond off-dry. The 9.5% abv is good for crowd control. Probably a good wine to serve to the WZL (aka White Zin Ladies). Tested at 70 deg F. Pop and pour. Attractive nose of powdered stone, earthy dried fruits, and hints of fruit and leaves. Good acid on the attack with a slight glycerin sheen in the mouth nicely balanced against tastes of stony mineral and slightly warm, neither sweet nor sour ripe fruit (green apple, citrus (mandarin or tangerine), hints of tropical fruit (e.g. pineapple)). Lingering finish of mostly citrus and mineral with hints of the apple. Off-dry. Body medium plus, acid medium.

Deutschland (Wine Exchange - Orange, CA): Really nice complexity from the glass with notes of honeysuckle, savory, candy, and stones. Very solid on the palate as well with zingy acidity, balanced sweetness, and yellow fruits buttressed by spices. Great character and density for this level.
