This is showing well. The CellarTracker! suggestion to drink by 2014 was a ways off the mark. Quite smooth and elegant. No rough edges. How Harvey described it: “This is a proper wine.” Dark fruit, pencil shavings and a little bit of tobacco on the nose. The palate is mostly plum with a little coffee and a hint of licorice coming through on the medium finish. Not complex but a joy to drink. I bought this at the first BerserkerDay.

This wine is still showing well with beautiful deep purple color in the glass and nice dark berry aromas on the nose. Medium weight on the palate and a medium-length finish. Drinking optimally right now.

Medium-light ruby red color. Sweet nose with raspberry, cherry, a little herbal component. Medium palate, nice fruit, a little soft. Not a lot of complexity. Enjoyable, probably shouldn't hold too much longer.

Beautiful bottle. Paired perfectly with grilled filet mignon, salad, and grilled potatoes. Dark garnet color. No flaws. No sediments. All of the nose as described in previous notes. No tannin. Smooth. Medium finish. Very drinkable. Plenty of bottle life left.

PnP through Nuance Wine Finer. Dark purple color. Black cherries, some black licorice on the nose. On the palate, dark fruit, some smokiness, anise and earth. Never would've guessed that this is a pinot, but thought it was a lovely blend. Enjoy the complexity and balance nonetheless. 91pts! Aloha!

I liked this bottle a lot more than the first bottle I opened several months ago. This time, I opened the bottle early in the day and gave it plenty of air time. Upon opening, it was all about the leather and tobacco (just like I remember the first bottle), but with a few hours of air, the fruit really started to emerge and take center stage. This has a nice silky mouthfeel and considerable complexity. Great stuff.

extremely impressive showing for this wine, which represents an amazing value. fruit forward, with blueberry, dark plum, and some spicy coffee coming through, this is an elegant merlot based wine. vegetal notes (pleasant) appear on the midpalate, before moving into a medium finish that is well balanced.

Dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of tobacco, black currants, black cherries and dark plums. Flavors of black cherries, black berries, black currants and dark plums. Medium acidity, firm tannins, full bodied. Drink now with air or continue to hold.

Really great nose of plums, dark chocolate, nutmeg and what Andrew described as "the smell of a billionaire's library". An array of fruit on the palate including more plum and barely ripe raspberry with spice and vanilla. Definitely has the delicious factor going. Nice medium-full bodied package with integrated, fine-grained tannins. The med-long finish leaves bitter coffee/chocolate notes. Drinks like double its price.

This was great. The nose was full of robust red fruits, some tobacco, and spice. It was my 3rd favorite on a night in which we tasted some wines blind and most of them were higher price points than this one. I will be ordering more.

Dark red with purple edges. Medium body. Vanilla, toasted oak, cherry cola leather, spice on the nose. Bursting with fruit in the mouth, with tasty cherry, dark stone fruit, graphite, toasted oak, cocoa dust and a touch of mint. Great mouth-coating mouthfeel with some structured backbone. Juicy, medium-long finish. Amazing QPR in this wine!

I first tried this fresh off the UPS truck, gave it a 93, and wondered. Well, its been a while, now with weeks in the cellar, time to revisit and see if we found a good wine we can afford to enjoy. A resounding yes is the answer Color is dark, nose is all cab, just the right combination of tannin, dark pomegranate, dry clean Smokey finish. Snowy Saturday night done right. Now to go sip some more with a rare steak and potatoes. easy 93 pts

First taste, what is this, hits you with three waves, leather, candy, than spice rack. Like some of the better $20 cabs I've had with the sickening polyglycol undertone, thankfully removed. Overall a pretty girl in a short skirt that's a bad kisser.

Very deep purple. Took a few min to settle. Maybe an hour or two to smooth out. Very complex.

Very fun, fruit forward wine. Definite syrah component. Tannins crisp and good backbone. Should evolve over several years.
