  • Not my favorite style of Chardonnay due to the huge butter and wood, but well crafted and flavorfull without being off the deep end. Perfect pairing with black cod in hazelnut crust with apple mustard vinaigrette, and chanterelle savory bread pudding.

  • Clean, exotic and fresh nose of pear, pineapple and butter -- very American -- with spicy notes of nutmeg. Very American on the nose but with a burgundy freshness; Exotic medium-body with a surprisingly balanced mid-palate, and strikingly spicy (nutmeg again) very long finish. Impressive structure brought about by the 14.8% alcohol that blends in nicely. Wow!

  • Dinner at Arcadia San Jose. Always one of my favorite domestic chards. Develooping, bigger and more buttery than remembered at release last year, but still real nice and not too over the top, with loads of juicy fruit/pear/floral notes.
