medium in color with light edges, a bit of spice on the nose, but leads to tastes of ripe plum, dark cherries, a hint of vanilla. A mid-mouth wine that is satisfing but not fruity CA Zin. Served at room temp/ no decanting, just an open bottle

From B.R. Cohn: "The aromas of berry and cherry are mingled with the bouquet of creamy vanilla custard and a hint of peppercorn and clove. Enjoy this medium bodied wine with any barbecued meats, such as ribs or even just a good old fashioned cheese burger.

ZAP 2011 20th Annual Grand Tasting; 1/29/2011-1/31/2011 (San Francisco, Fort Mason): Balanced sweet fruit. I liked this better than the '08 Olive Hill Estate.
