Pretty much a unanimous wine of the night vote. This one had dark black cherry, licorice, herbal notes in the middle, black pepper finish. Still very fruit forward. Lots of people guessing Northern Rhone on this one given the fruit expression. The 15% Syrah in this wine gives it a lot of balance and quite a bit of depth. This one you can hold a good 10 years longer if desired. Or bring it out for your CDP fanatics and they will love this one.

Classic, QPR CdP. All the elements are there: balance, fruit, acidity, and tannin. Glad I opened one. Good drinking window for a wine with great-character.

I found this to be a great example of classic CdP. It packed some power but in a way that was well-balanced. The fruit and acid were a good match for the overall power. Going to hold onto my last of these for a while longer as I could see this improving even more with some additional bottle age.

A polished, powerfully elegant modern style of cdp with just the right amount of saturated purple and black fruit to go with the licorice, violet and animal/meat notes. Nervy, generous and young

Red cherry in colour. Smoky and cherry on the nose. The palate give flavours of aniseed, treacle, and tar. There is lots of acidity and this is way too young to approach for me. Wait 5 years

Decanted for a short while. Dark red. Nose of cherry and kirsch. Quite smooth with a hint of acidity. Could sense the alcohol. Was expecting something else considered the praise of the vintage...
