Might be better in a couple years....? Red fruit along with hints of darker ones. Time in air helps. Overall, a step up from a jug wine, but not all that far removed.

16/20 VISUEL: rubis noir intense OLFACTIF: nez franc : fruits, mie de pain. GUSTATIF: Intense en bouche, fruits noirs : cassis, mûres. Structuré et généreux. Tanins gouleyants, ronds, soyeux. Finale avec des notes de chocolat et de café. ENSEMBLE: Un beau carmenère riche et plein.

Good value for the money. No carmenere should be expensive, this one isn't, and its damn tasty. Went with grilled ribeye and roasted carrots perfectly.

Always been an inexpensive easy favourite for us. Enjoyable as usual and a great go to despite the fact I agree with other posters by thinking not as good as prior years.

1st bottle of the new vintage. Raw and young. Not as much fruit or depth as the 2008 vintage that we drank last week. Will buy again. Old reliable Trader Joe's pick...

Fruity and superficial. Typical cheap chilenean plunk. No depth, no finish. Drinkable at first night, threw out the remainder on the second night.

Not so great. Pretty green, not nearly as good as previous vintages.

Damn...carmenere is so underappreciated. This is a damn good wine, though it was better when only $6 a bottle. Still recommended though.

Great little everyday wine. Very consistent with full flavor & slight black cherry nose.

Enjoyed very much: good fruit, not overripe; decent fresh acidity; some complexity; oak well blended. One of the best Casilleros I've had in a while.
