Disappointed. Lacked fruit. Coarse tannins, bitter aftertaste. There is some sweet fruit at start of palate and nose but then things go rustic. What will it do now?
Full red, deep fruit. Works great with a meal. Nice nose, lovely palate with fruit, herb notes. Works less well alone as the acidity and structure become evident. Nice bottle.

Filling in w/the Friday Brown Bag Group (R&D's): Opens with aromas of earthy clay, folllowed by red fruit and fresh herbs. Flavors of spice, cherry, red fruit and a hint of earth, with good underlying acidity. Guessed Willamette Pinot.

A very good wine from a very good producer. Nicely structured, no heat from the vintage. Its very tight and tannic at this stage but there seem to be something special lurking underneath. Well worth the money!

Drank very well for a young wine. Spice on the nose, full palate. Palate not as complex as the nose right now. Good balance, medium finish. Could easily improve with age if it gains complexity.

From memory - surprisingly dark fruited, fresh and juicy, with an ever so small yet noticeable hint of tar. Darker and bigger than anticipated.

From Nick's cellar for dinner at Mom's house. Red fruits and smooth tannins, like. Went well with cured meat.

Fleeting impressions from the Goedhuis tasting (Saatchi Gallery, London SW3): Penetrating nose. A bit more all round. True to form, more masculine. Fresh, energetic. Fabulous.
