  • Intense, youthful, sweetish black currant. Nice subtle oak spice, a touch of raisinating fruit, lovely cedar/tobacco, soft/dusty tannin. Blackberry, blueberry, dried wild cherry and grapefruit on the finish. There's a lot of good here, but it doesn't ultimately come together as well as it could have - tastes better than it drinks. Picked a little too late.

  • Rich, full. A bit to grapey when first opened, but delightful after allowed to breathe in the glass. Enough acid to cut through strong food without harshness. Soft to medium tanins. A bit of blackberry. Well worth its $20 price. Get some more.
