This is the antithesis of over-oaked California chardonnay. Bright straw color. Brisk, citric notes of lemons, green apples, pineapple, graham crackers, melon, and flinty minerals on the finish. Feels tactile with sneaky complexity and juicy acidity. Buttery vanilla, however, finally makes its presence known after the wine warms in the glass. Very good.

I was excited to taste this wine, after loving the Wild Boy Chardonnay from Au Bon Climat. But this was not what I expected. Lots of acidity and minerality, with just a hint of buttery oak. Poor balance and not as rich and full as I would have liked. Still very drinkable though.

Too oaky for me and a tad bitter. The flavors seemed canned and not complementary. I drank it with seafood and it was washed out and did not add anything to the flavors of the food.

Slightly lighter coloured than the Puligny; cool mineral note and much riper white chocolate/ creme anglaise aroma. Dairy, ripe pears; more viscous on palate, denser. Definite note of toffee oak. Something dusty. Finishes a bit short. Good. Could get sickly after a while, a sip is enough.

Nice Asian pear, citrus and a touch of matchstick on the nose. Beautiful golden apple and a ton of minerality in the mouth. Racy acidity. Fantastic balance of acid, fruit, wood and malo character. Fantastic example of California Chardonnay.

Not bad, but very acidic. I was wondering if the bottle had gone bad, but someone here said the same thing about their 2008 Chard. Not worth the $21 I paid for it.

Lemon oil on the nose with a distinct nutty quality & some pear & ripe apple. Lean entry with mineral laced apple, pear & citrus flavors. Very focused chardonnay. Nice.

Takes a while to open up, but when it does it is quite nice.
Butter, minerals, flowers, great viscous mouthfeel, bracing citrus. There is a decent amount of depth on the finish. Lingers on the palate.
Very tasty.

Sonoma Wine Tasting & San Francisco - March 2012; 3/22/2012-3/27/2012: Golden colored. Aromas of buttery oak and yellow apple. The palate is plump and very rich with bruised apple and oak. There's enough acid to keep it interesting.

Stor doft av tropiska frukter och smör. Fyller ut hela munnen men ändå rätt elegant. Har en lång eftersmak.

Rather disappointing compared with less expensive Chards I've been enjoying. However, my palette may have been off due to spring allergies.
