The Vineyard: Quail Hill Vineyard, Block 10
Block 10 is the most extreme east-facing block on our Quail Hill Estate Vineyard. It was
planted in 1996 to Dijon 667 and 777 clones on 101-14 rootstock. To equalize the fertility
and productivity of the block, one side is planted with 8x3-foot spacing allowing for 1815
vines per acre, while the other, more fertile side is planted 8x6-foot spacing allowing only
908 vines per acre. The combination of these two clones is the perfect combination of
velvety sructure and intense aromatics.
