Chateau Tour Saint Christophe is a winery in Saint Emilion in the Bordeaux region of France. It is located on the east side of the Saint Emilion plateau, in the township of Saint Christophe Des Bardes. The property is owned by the Vignobles K Group, and is currently managed by Jean Christophe Meyrou and Jerome Aguirre, who was previously at Chateau Le Gay and Chateau La Violette in Pomerol. It is ranked as a Saint Emilion Grand Cru and produces approximately 100 0000 bottles of wine a year.

Chateau Tour Saint Christophe is located east of the village of Saint Emilion and is surrounded by first growths and Grand Cru Classes. Its immediate neighbours are Chateau Troplong Mondotte and Chateau Barde-Haut. It also owns plots next to Chateau Laroque, Chateau Destieux and Chateau L’If.

The shape of the property is a unique feature among the vineyards of Saint-Emilion. It is partly planted on narrow terraces where the vineyard is tended in tight rows grouped by five.

The terroir of Château Tour Saint Christophe is clay-limestone: red clay on the surface, followed by the limestone typical of the Saint Emilion Plateau, with some blue clay.

Chateau Tour Saint Christophe is currently planted to 80% merlot and 20% cabernet franc, though the final composition of each vintage depends on production volume and blends.

Under the guidance of Aguirre, grapes are sorted after harvest and are filled into concrete tanks or directly into Bordeaux barrels (about 25% of the harvest) for vinification in barrel. The wines are aged for 18 months in 1/3 new oak and the balance in 1 or 2 year oak. At the end of the process, the wines are bottled onsite. Since 2017, the property has experimented with limited amphora vinification.

Since its relaunch in 2012, the property has received positive feedback in the feedback, and is often described as one of the “rising stars in St-Emilion” and among the best values of the region.

Beginning in 2017, the vineyard also produces a white wine Chateau Tour Saint Christophe Angela. The wine is named after the owner’s wife, and composes of 100% Sauvnignon Blanc. The wine is aged in a combination of clay amphora and new French oak barrels. Currently only around 500 bottles are produced each year.
