30 min splash decant. Enticing earthy nose. Full bodied, well integrated fruit/tannins/acid. Everything in balance. At 23 years, and 7 years beyond the suggested drinking window, the “mouth feel” is soft/mellow/indicative of it’s age. Was it better younger ? who knows, but I wouldn’t hold longer in hopes of improvement. Interesting in that the most recent scores are all higher than the CT average. I love what the Wine Enthusiast said : " Doesn't try to out-wow the competition in power, but the equilibrium is its strong point." One btl. left which I will offer up at the first “old cab” tasting I attend.

Totally agree with tigerpaw75 on 12/25/2023 . I too bought it ten yrs back from WTSO. Good value. I found the mid palate a bit flat. Tannins still a bit "grippy" Red fruit. PNP grade 88, but 20 minutes later upgraded to 90

PNP: Nose: iron, cigar box (cedar), hint of sweetness (oak?).
Palate: mixed cherry, leather, pleasant yet lively tannins. yummy
