This is absolutely gorgeous. On the nose, red fruits and soy and savory and oh boy! Bright acidity, tannic, and hey, this is a really big wine, but it's kind of balanced, you know? The fruit is gorgeous. This is a really spectacular wine. Great price. Naoussa is a special place.

Big wine, but I guess that's to be expected considering the name. The oak is a bit much right now, and considering the dryness of the grapes I question a little bit if it's ever going to really work. This is modern, and it's not a Greek wine as much as a big rich wine that wants to beat some 2nd growth Bordeaux in a blind tasting, get a 95 point rating, and proclaim Greece as the place to drink big red wines. On the positive side, a lot of people are going to love it, the price is reasonable, and it's 80% Agiorgtiko.

It's all about the mineralty (bordering on saline) with citrus fruit. Pretty intense stuff. Laser acidity. It's not cheap, but at $50 I think this can outshine many a premier cru Chablis, and it's better than the majority of Sancerre out there. I am curious to know what it will taste like in a couple of years, as right now the intensity is here but not really the complexity.
