Light silvery gold. Apples, pears on the nose. This is really at its peak now. Well balanced palate, plenty of fruit, pears, oranges. And quite long. Very good.

This is a blend of various vintages going back 12 years.
I have to admit I struggle to comprehend why a decent winemaker wants to make a sparkling shiraz and then charge a premium for doing so. This was very disappointing, rather like a fizzy soda. And it was expensive.
Not for me.

Light gold with some greeny overtones. Light oranges and pineapples. The palate doesn't appear overly sweet, though we could find no indication of sweetness levels. It's pleasant and honeyed. Dessert wines are not so much my thing, but I quite enjoyed this.

10/15/2021 3:10:00 PM - Keith & Liz,
thanks for the note. i didn't realize it was #1,000! I haven't been posting many notes over the last 5 years, but my lyme disease finally seems to be in remission, so I've been drinking more recently. Not doing much buying - just working my way through old inventory. Finding lots of oxidized whites that were meant to have been drunk earlier. But lots of nicely aged reds at this point.
Best regards!
