Nose is somewhat typical for a SB, high toned lemon lime zest, overripe stone fruit, a touch of honeydew melon, and a lot of granny smith apple. Nice effort here with moderate acidity and a very satisfying profile. Some apricot, a lot of granny smith apple, all under a current of lemon-lime zest with some flinty undertones.

Garnet red in color. Light for a syrah/PV blend imo. I've had some concentrated Pinots nearly this color. Given an hour of air.. blackberry, blueberry, stoniness, a little pencil lead in the back, white pepper, soy sauce, green olive and black tea. A bit of herbaceousness. Nice juicy mid-palate. Medium-full body. Chewy, smooth texture. Medium acidity. Long finish. Great QPR.

Nose of twizzlers and cherry soda. Big and expansive, but no mid palate. Good tannic structure without stuffing behind it. Some iron, a bit of orange peel. A good deal of minerality on the finish, which is lasting. Good acid. One-dimensional, however. Not a bad wine, but was expecting more.
