  • 2010 Bodegas Muga Rioja Gran Reserva Prado Enea

    Using WSET 3 system:
Medium ruby, medium + intensity on nose
On nose - red cherry, strawberry, red apple peel, rose, cinnamon, baking spice, vanilla, tar, touch of green pepper, prune, black pepper, szechuan peppercorn, meat, plum, tobacco.
    Developing
Dry, medium+ acid, medium+ tannin, high alcohol, full body

    Finish - long
    BLIC - gets all 4 - outstanding

This is a really nice wine. I have disliked many Rioja in the past but not this one. Well balanced. I think a wine like this really needs a lot of age. Drinking very well now.
